A: We serve creative agencies and other creative businesses with similar (complicated) business models. So businesses that juggle multiple projects with multiple clients and vendors. Here’s the shortlist:

Q: WILL YOU TEACH ME HOW TO DO MY OWN BOOKKEEPING?
A: No, we’re a done-for-you service.
Q: HOW DO BOOKKEEPERS GET ASSIGNED?
A: We generally try to pair your business with bookkeepers who already have experience in your industry. However, sometimes that isn’t always the case. When that happens, we look at business models that are similar to yours and pair you with a bookkeeper who has experience in that similar industry. For example, an event production company runs similarly to a production company and vice versa. So a bookkeeper who has experience in managing bookkeeping and accounting for a production company, has skills and experience that is portable and useful for event production companies too.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES OUR BOOKKEEPING SERVICE COST?
A: It depends on what your business needs are. First, we’ll have a conversation about what those needs are and then we’ll give you a few flat-rate options.
Typically, our bookkeeping fees start at $650 a month for our smallest clients and can exceed $5,000 a month for larger engagements.
Q: WILL WE BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU ADVICE, GUIDANCE OR CONSULTING?
A: We don’t provide bookkeeping consulting. If you’re looking for one-time or one-off help with your bookkeeping, I’d suggest looking for an advisor associated with your bookkeeping platform. Most platforms have their own network of professional bookkeepers and accountants who you can hire for this type of work. For example, check out QuickBooks Pro Advisors.

Q: WHAT DOES THE SET UP PROCESS INCLUDE?
A: Whether or not you have bookkeeping in action, set up can take between 1 - 2 weeks. It depends heavily on how quickly you can get us everything we need. Even if you already set up your books, we’ll still need to spend time reviewing your chart of accounts and the current state of your bookkeeping. We’ll also walk you through getting us access to everything we need to have a full view of your business’ finances. We'll need to be able to login to your payment processors like Shopify or Stripe as well as getting special view-only access to your bank and credit cards. We’ll also set you up with and introduce you to your bookkeeper who will be handling all of the day-to-day accounting for your business.
Q: CAN YOU HELP US WITH OTHER THINGS BESIDES BOOKKEEPING? LIKE SETTING UP PAYROLL OR PAYING BILLS?
A: We sure can. If you need some other reporting and record-keeping, like job costing or if you need payroll help or 1099 filing, we’re happy to help with all of those things as needed; just let us know!
