Q: HOW DO BOOKKEEPERS GET ASSIGNED?

A: We generally try to pair your business with bookkeepers who already have experience in your industry. However, sometimes that isn’t always the case. When that happens, we look at business models that are similar to yours and pair you with a bookkeeper who has experience in that similar industry. For example, an event production company runs similarly to a production company and vice versa. So a bookkeeper who has experience in managing bookkeeping and accounting for a production company, has skills and experience that is portable and useful for event production companies too.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES OUR BOOKKEEPING SERVICE COST?

A: We charge a non-refundable set up fee of $500 due upon signing. Catch-up bookkeeping and monthly bookkeeping are billed monthly at $85/hour.


Q: WILL WE BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU ADVICE, GUIDANCE OR CONSULTING?

A: We’re a bookkeeping agency that can provide what we call “consulting lite”. Consulting lite can range from walking you through your financials to help you understand them to giving you recommendations on how to set up a tax savings account to helping you find out how much hiring a new employee will really cost you. Consulting lite is $200/hour.


Q: WHAT DOES THE SET UP PROCESS INCLUDE?

A: Whether or not you have bookkeeping in action, set up can take between 1 - 2 weeks. It depends heavily on how quickly you can get us everything we need. Even if you already set up your books, we’ll still need to spend time reviewing your chart of accounts and the current state of your bookkeeping. We’ll also walk you through getting us access to everything we need to have a full view of your business’ finances. We'll need to be able to login to your payment processors like Shopify or Stripe as well as getting special view-only access to your bank and credit cards. We’ll also set you up with and introduce you to your bookkeeper who will be handling all of the day-to-day accounting for your business.


Q: HOW MANY HOURS A MONTH DO YOU THINK MY BOOKKEEPING WILL TAKE?

A: It depends. For the smaller businesses that we work with, we dedicate an hour a week to managing your business finances, but larger firms can require 10+ hours/week. We’re happy to give you our estimate upon signing.


Q: CAN YOU HELP US WITH OTHER THINGS BESIDES BOOKKEEPING? LIKE SETTING UP PAYROLL OR PAYING BILLS?

A: We sure can. If you need some other reporting and record-keeping, like job costing or if you need payroll help or 1099 filing, we’re happy to help with all of those things as needed; just let us know!


Q: IF I ALREADY HAVE BOOKKEEPING SETUP, DO I STILL NEED TO PAY SET UP FEE?

A: Yep.

A: No, we’re a done-for-you service.
